Prepping my new art journal....

After a long long spell of having a big creative block I've started going to town again. I've started a new art journal; a bigger one than I am normally used to working in, with pages 8W x 11H. It's a spiral bound journal with the left-hand pages being blank and the right-hand pages being lined. Above are 5 spreads I have started. A few more visual additions to be done, then I can get down to the journaling part of these spreads! I can't stand it when I have these creative blocks; so I am so relieved and happy to be playing once again! :D

I have an art table in my bedroom, and today I was sitting at it, playing away in my jumble journal. I turned around only to find my bed behind me taken over by my four cats. Oh, they have it so rough living here! lol From left to right we have: Joe Toes (he has 26 of 'em, not the regular 18), Tigger, Madam Angel Pudding and Moody!

My mom likes to feed the squirrels in our backyard. This little one is the Mom who, oddly enough, seems to like feeding herself first before she allows her young ones to eat! The bird has been visiting me daily for weeks now. He is always alone, and I've never seen a second one. I've just learned the type of bird it is: a Townsend's Solitaire. So, he lives up to his name! What a pretty bird he is. Our 2 dogs and 6 cats love to watch the wildlife feed! lol

WOW........

How pathetic am I? I recently discovered how long it has been since I have added ANYTHING to my blog! I have been doing loads of creating and art journaling since I last posted here over three months ago. I guess I'd better dust off my camera and get to taking some pics of altered art and art journaling I've accomplished while I've been MIA here. Over the course of this coming week I will begin taking pics and uploading them. A huge snowstorm is heading to my neck of the woods withing the next 24 hours or so....a perfect time to stay put indoors and take these pics. And if the snowstorm ends up being as sigificant as the meteorologists are forecasting, I shall also take some photos of the quiet peaceful falling snow, err, maybe it will be wildly blowing snow! lol We will find out when the storm arrives on our doorstep! For now though, nitie nites and dream sweet all! Vale :)
