My daughter and I recently adopted 2 dilute calico kittens. They're sisters. The kitten that is mostly white is my daughter's. She has called her 'Angel'. I have named my kitten 'Meesha'. She is the one on the right with the grey mask. In this photo they are four months old. These kittens are so adorable and very loving. It's such fun having kittens around the house once again!

Wow, after 10 days of work I am finally here again! And boy, have I ever missed creating artwork, working on my blog and being amongst my altered art friends in the groups! I got down to finishing off my spreads in Karen O's calendar journal today, took pics of them, and now here they are!
It's so great to finally be back into the swing of things, creatively speaking that is! I'm home! lol

Friday night I sat down to create the cover for my 'Dark Angels' book. Above is what I came up with. To make a very dark and dramatic look to my cover I used paper that had barbed wire, then added a pic of a stone angel, and my hand print using a red Distress Ink.

Currently I am working in Robin O's calendar journal. Above are two of the spreads that I have created in it so far. In the one I used nature images, tissue and watercolour pens. In the other I used one of my 'papermonzsters'. I've named her 'Delilah Dewdrop'. Her name was inspired by the quote on the right page. What a lovely journal Robin has!

This piece is my entry for the June lottery at our Diva group. The theme was *At the Beach* chosen by last month's lottery winner, Sandee. I had a lot of fun using my imagination on this project! And again I have added one of my papermonzsters to create a playful and whimsical atmosphere to Tallulah's little story.

Karen BP and I decided to create a Yahoo group for artists interested in weekly art prompts. Today, June 3rd, is our very first weekly art prompt which is 'illuminations'. This is what my mind conjured up with the word in this spread below. I also used a colour prompt, blue, as well as one of my papermonzsters.
If you love art prompts, come join us for some fun with them @:

SLOW WALK

This is the final page I created in Karen BP's calendar journal. I used a poem that I wrote a while back titled 'Slow Walk'....

Slow walk. A shroud of silence.
Unaware, yet aware of
A misty cloak of rain.
To each a blanket of grey security.
Rain, delicate and cool falls
Onto two solo faces
Pondering and drawn inward
To that hallowed place
Of oneness, solitude.
Yet, the pondering of each
Is of the other:
Apprehension
Chemical tension
Side by side
Alone, together.
Canopied in green indifference
Trees surround them
Under purple-bellied clouds.
And the slow walk continues
down Destiny's path....
